I'm currently the Marketing Assistant for Bird Watcher's Digest magazine, which is based out of Marietta, Ohio. There are as many as 40 million bird watchers in the United States...I know, I couldn't believe it either. The company itself is hosting more and more events each year as the print industry is undergoing major change from technology advances. My duties are largely centered around event management. We have a huge inaugural exposition in October in Columbus, Ohio. There are over 40 states and 30 countries represented in the vendors and attendees for the event. I work very closely with the vendors in preparation for the Expo. We also host a symposium, which is in Michigan this year, and several exclusive readers-only events for a sampling of our audience of over a million. These are in different places around this part of the world -- our 2016 lineup has bookings in Ohio, Delaware, Florida, Texas, and New Mexico...we're also looking at Honduras, Panama, Costa Rica, and Alaska. My vote is for either Panama or Alaska.
